What we collect and why

We collect the information we need to care for your child safely and to run the setting: contact details, your child's health and dietary information, emergency contacts, development records and attendance. Enquiry and tour forms collect only your name, email, your child's age and optionally a phone number and message, used solely to answer you.

Children's data

Children's records are held securely, seen only by the staff who need them and kept for the periods required by law and by our insurers. Learning journal entries and daily updates are shared with you privately through the parent app and never published.

Photographs and image consent

We take photographs as part of recording your child's learning. Where a photograph would appear anywhere public, including this website, we rely on written parental consent gathered per child and per use, and you can withdraw it at any time. Evidence of consent is held by the setting.

Who we share data with

We share data only where the law requires it, for example with Ofsted or the local safeguarding partnership, or where a contracted service processes it on our behalf, such as the parent app, our email provider and our enquiry database. We never sell data and we never share it for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it or, where the law allows, ask us to delete it. Email info@littleaviatorspreschool.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
